  4. Just because oats is healthy, one should not eat it everyday. Atleast in my case, I put on weight and there was issue with blood sugar

  8. You add some some and some but no quantity esp. for water not professional. Why we look for recipes it is to get some idea abt proportions but what I get is some. Lol

    " To everyone, his/her own" as the saying goes….
    I have eaten upma at a famous UDIPI in Matunga,Mumbai. Never have I seen several veggies added to it. What is with these so many on cooking show , destroying the authentic s. indian delicious food?

  20. Chef Anupa's recipe are superb. I suggest-roast the Oats & spray 1/4 tsp to 1/2 tsp turmeric on it and 5 to 10 crushed whole black pepper(dont use powder), and kept it aside. Fry half onion rest keep aside. Fry Veg well w/o water and add the oats with turm.& black pepper, mix it well and add remaining onion now, mix all well then add hot water by stirring it and water to stand 1 cm above the oats, keep the heat low & close the lid.Water is absorbed now add 2 tsp ghee and mix, +garnish cilantro.
