Kids fish chowder – recipe

Colds and flu are common in this time of the year…and if your kid gets it there is a very good chance that you will get it too 😉
We did…all.
That’s the reason why I was in a total comfort food mood….but still healthy. I really wanted a warm creamy something…like…a chowder!!
I haven’t introduced shellfish yet in Luca’s diet (the suggestion is to wait after 2 yrs for potential allergies), so I couldn’t go for the original clam’s chowder, that’s how I ended up with a different kids’ friendly version of it.
no shellfish but halibut (or any nice big white fish good for soups).
The result? delicious. Creamy, tasty, comforting!
Luca (and the rest of the family) really liked it.
Let me know what you think!
ciao ciao

  1. Thank you! I will make it one of this days!

  2. yes you can! you might have a difference in the texture. the halibut has a kind of meaty texture. you can cut it in cubes or small pieces and it will keep the texture once cooked. the cod fish or the red fish fillets might break in very small pieces. that's not an issue, all depends on your personal taste. let me know how it goes!!! ciao ciao, b

  3. Hello! Could i use cod fish or redfish instead of halibut? (not for kids, for the family)
love your channel! keep up the good work!

  4. Thank you so much! b
