Falka Roll – Indian Vegetable Wrap – Healthy Tiffin Snacks / Brunch Recipe By Annuradha Toshniwal

Looking for a complete meal that can be packed as tiffin snacks for kids and children or lunch boxes for office person or brunch recipes? Here is a all round solution to all problems. Chef Annuradha Toshniwal teaches simple and easy to make quick homemade meal that have all the main course food wrapped in like roll / frankie.

Ingredients:
For Filling:
2 tbsp oil
Salt
1 onion (chopped)
1.5 cups mixed vegetables (finely chopped)
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp amchur powder (raw mango powder)
Coriander leaves (chopped)

For Dal layer:
3/4 cup yellow moong dal (soaked overnight)
2 green chillies
1 ginger
Salt

For Falka:

Method:
– Soak moong dal overnight and grind it with green chillies, ginger, salt
– Put oil in a pan and to the heated pan add salt
– Add the chopped onions and saute it till its soft
– Add the vegetables, mix them well and let them cook for 5 – 7 mins with the lid of the pan on.
– Once the vegetables are cooked add red chilli powder, coriander powder, amchur powder and cook it by mashing the vegetables a bit
– Remove the vegetable filling in a plate and let it cool, add salt if needed
– Brush some oil in a pan and put a spoonful of dal mixture
– Take a roti and press down till the dal mixture spreads to the edges
– Brush some oil on top of the roti (optional) and sprinkle some on the sides
– Once the roti is done take it off the pan and keep it aside
– Apply sweet chutney and green chutney and spread it all over the roti
– Put the vegetable filling in the roti and roll it

  17. Wow, that’s a healthy wrap, had never heard of falka roll before, the daal
    sticks to the roti like an egg roll, will have to give this a try for
    sure.
